We are what we remember…we are our memories. Rooted in human psychology, Shahla Karimi jewelry seeks to capture the deep-seated longing of human beings to embrace and express their memories. Each piece of jewelry in our collection reveals a story, and we aim to capture yours in your custom piece.
Whether you are looking to customize an existing style, or create a one-of-a-kind piece, you'll work collaboratively with Shahla or a member of our team to bring your vision to life.
We'll start by establishing a budget, reviewing your inspiration, and narrowing down the key components you'd like to incorporate into the design of your custom piece. Based on your direction and our guidance, we will combine these aspects into 2D sketches so you can begin to visualize your custom piece. Once you land on a design, we'll source stones and assist you in choosing the best one for your piece. After both the design and stone are decided on, we'll create a computer-aided design (CAD) for you to approve. After the CAD is approved, we’ll begin production and you will have the finished piece within 4-8 weeks! Shahla plays an integral role throughout the entire custom design process - she has final approval of all pieces.
Due to the nature of our small business / team, we require a $1000 deposit to begin sourcing and / or sketching - 100% will be applied to your order. A minimum of $5,000 is required for each customized design (example, a small change to an existing design) and a minimum of $7,500 is required for each bespoke piece (one of a kind, we have never created anything like it). All heirloom work begins at $5,000. Our bespoke pricing is current and adjusts based on seasonal demand and workload.
We offer competitive pricing for design services, ensuring that our clients receive excellent value for their investment. Our team consists of highly skilled professionals who possess decades of experience and are remunerated with fair wages that reflect their expertise. Additionally, we take great pride in upholding the highest standards of quality in all our work.

HOW PRICING IS DETERMINED
Metal:
- Higher karat metals are priced higher.
- More metal used leads to increased cost, considering both weight and polishing labor.
- Platinum casting, fabrication and polishing are more time-consuming, resulting in higher prices.
Stones:
- More stones in the design increase setting labor costs and stone expenses.
- Larger stones require more labor for setting and are generally pricier.
Design:
- Quantity of 2-D design rounds will be included in the initial quote. Additional design revisions beyond the quoted rounds may result in higher overall price.
- 3D design limits the ability to make extensive changes without additional costs. Having more than one 3D design is an additional minimum of $250.
- Resin try-on is an additional minimum of $150 per design / round
Labor:
- Stone setting and polishing are covered in the initial quote.
- Resizing or tweaks after completion may involve extra charges for additional labor.
