The Designer Reissue series concludes with Gillian Steinhardt's iconic Goldenlinks

Inspired by the limited-edition vinyl reissues I fell in love with during my decade in the music industry and high fashion’s archival revivals—I created The Designer Reissue Series as a way to honor and reintroduce iconic pieces from three art-house designers, all of whom are personal friends.

We began on April 1st with Beth Macri’s Letter Pendants, followed by Tara 4779’s Percentage Rings on May 1st. Now, we close the series with a striking finale, Gillian Steinhardt’s Goldenlinks Necklaces, the kind of personalized jewelry you’ll never take off.

Gillian Steinhardt—renowned for her cool-girl aesthetic as a notable fashion stylist—brings playful ingenuity to the Reissue Series with her Goldenlinks collection. Her work often dances on the edge between typography and adornment, and Goldenlinks is her masterstroke in that realm.

Expertly crafted 14K gold letters cleverly masquerade as chain links. Only upon closer inspection does the wearer (or a keen observer) notice that those “links” spell out personalized names, initials, or secret mantras.

Steinhardt originally introduced Goldenlinks a few years back to much delight, and its reissue now feels like a homecoming for the concept. Each Goldenlinks necklace is made to order, allowing clients to choose the letters that matter to them, whether it’s a loved one’s initials or a power word they live by. The design itself is clean and modernist (each letter-link is rendered in a simple, sans-serif style for legibility and style), so when the letters link up, the piece reads like a chic minimalist chain. Yet there’s an intimacy to it: only the wearer and those they let in on the secret know the message it carries.

Shahla has been seen wearing hers daily, layered subtly among other chains. She lets the piece shine (literally and figuratively) without overt announcement. And that’s the genius of Gillian’s design, her distinctive approach fuses her styling expertise with fine jewelry, making Goldenlinks both boldly modern and deeply personal.
